Cardiff International White Water provides a range of educational activities for schools and young people, including college and university students, organised youth groups and even teachers themselves.
Facilities include changing rooms, showers and an onsite café. All equipment, including wetsuits, wetsuit boots, helmets and buoyancy aids, is supplied. Students only need to bring swimwear, a towel and £1 coin for a locker.
We can accommodate paddlesports for larger groups, which allows the participants to experience all that CIWW has to offer. Alternatively, pupils may choose to concentrate on one activity, such as Kayaking, and gain a qualification.
We’re delighted to welcome schools and groups with young people with additional needs, such as wheelchair users, and those with learning difficulties or social or psychological issues.
We believe that learning is most effective when it's fun. All of our outdoor adventure activities offer additional benefits, which encourage the development of social and personal skills.
We can also help you book discounted residential breaks at YHA Cardiff Central or the Holiday Inn Express in Cardiff Bay, and plan your personalised itinerary for your stay, so you can get the very best out of CIWW’s facilities.
The water based activities and courses, run at both Cardiff International White Water and offsite, cater for a wide range of groups and abilities. All courses support Key Stages 2 to 4, and specific activities can be delivered as part of the GCSE, A Level and BTEC curriculum.
