Hi my name is Jordan Peate. I have been kayaking for around 5-6 year I have kayaked and canoed all around Britain and have done some kayaking in the French Alps. I have helped coaching for around 3 years but have been working as a kayaking and canoeing coach for around one and a half years I am also a raft guide.
I have been trainee at ciww now for two weeks so am still settling in. as I work on a Monday I am discovering the fun of Monday checks (something not to be missed). Over the past two weeks I have been rafting, kayaking and canoeing (in the freezing cold). I have enjoyed my first two weeks and I am looking forward to the next 9 months. SHOULD BE FUN!!!
Calum Price - I have been paddling for almost seven years now, coaching for two years, and rafting for almost two years. I joined my current kayak/canoe club with my family almost seven years ago and slowly got into the sport. Due to other commitments my paddling never really took off until about four years ago when I started taking kayaking to the beach and began playing in the surf. I went back to the club, re-taught myself to roll and taught myself to hand-roll and I was hooked. I'm now the chairman of Dragon Paddlers, keen paddler and enthusiastic coach. Two weeks in to the trainee-ship at CIWW and it's been great. Pretty much what I was expecting, more time spent off the water at the start of the week and more time spent on it as the weekend approaches, which is good as it gives you time to dry and thaw out a bit before the next busy stint. I'm looking forward to the summer season for more coaching, rafting, riverboarding and - when it opens - the flowrider sessions.
