IRF Inline-Raft Workshop

An Inline Raft is generic term used to describe a variety of small inflatable watercraft such as inflatable kayaks, IKs, inflatable canoes, duckies, torpedoes, etc.

This workshop looks at the skills need to guide/ leaded a group in a white water environment. 

The following topics will be covered:

Physical Skills - Personal paddling skills, group management, emergency and rescue techniques.

Theoretical and Practical Knowledge - Equipment (types and usage), safety and emergency procedures, river hydrology, leadership, signals, individual and group coaching.

PRE COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Training:

Age 16 or over

Be able to swim

Assessment:

Logbook

Valid 2 day First Aid training

Aged 18 or over
